Week 54

Hey everyone!!

Hey this week was really good! We met a really cool guy who is interested in the Gospel... but the only problem was that he didnt speak english.. safe to say we are working on our spanish skills... lol.

Sister Hunt and I will be staying together in Sumrall and we are really excited about that. But the sad thing is that some of our favorite missionaries are going home or leaving our district. 

We were able to help out at a Beehive activity for the stake and that was a lot of fun! 

We also went on exchanges. I went with Sister John again! She is a lot of fun!  We got chased by 4 more dogs this time though...I'm getting really sick of dogs.. I don't think I will ever own one.. actually I know I will never own one..

We also got to go to the Sumrall football game again. Because when the whole town is at the game.. you go where the people are. Its a lot of fun. They played wayyyy better this week!  

And finally probably one of the saddest things was we had a mission funeral for GPL . Sister Hunt and i were the ones that gave his eulogy so obviously it was great!

Week 53

Hey everyone! So this week was pretty crazy!

It started out last week with Sister Hunt and I dying an elders hair bright red because why not? Haha it was pretty funny! We also said goodbye to 2 of our Purvis homies. And spent most of Pday with them last week. 

On tuesday we worked a lot and we were able to find a new investigator! He is a cool kid! He is about 32 and all about being healthy. And so we talked briefly about the W.O.W and he is all about that life! Which is really cool! Also that night we had a dinner appointment scheduled and they said they were going to send us pizza at 730 and so we were home and around 8:45 we ended up ordering our own pizza... haha And we went to get it about 2 minutes before they closed.. whoops. It was really funny becuase we had both taken showers so our hair was pretty wet and Sister Hunts was in a towel because she forgot it was on her head, so right before we walked in she took it off. HA!

On Wednesday we had DM and youth and volleyball. I have gotten pretty decent at playing volleyball in a skirt.. and when I mess up its something to blame it on.. cause in skirts you cant get too crazy..

thursday we taught a RS lesson about car maintenance... We know nothing about cars... but we were able to turn in into a spiritual lesson about taking car of ourselves and things we should do.. it was pretty cool! That was an...interesting and super funny night...Oh we also did service and cleaned a hoarder's backyard.. probably a LOT grosser than cleaning the inside of the house.. the smell... EW! It makes me never want to own anything besides a trash can..  

friday, saturday, and sunday all kind of blurred together.. But we were able to go to the Sumrall football game.. they play about as good as Uintah does.. LOL  We also met a preacher who has scared off like 4 sisters... but to us he was really nice.. it was not what we were expecting. But it was a tender mercy for sure!!

Week 52

Hey y'all!

So this week seemed to FLY by! But it was really good! We had Zone conference on  Tuesday and It was great to see everyone and see President! This transfer the theme has been princesses and my princess is Tiana... I don't look anything like her sadly.. BUT they say it was based on personality not looks.. haha It was pretty cool actually. And I love that movie so it all worked out for me (; 

Wednesday was kind of a strange day. Everything seemed to not be working out. But our investigator called and wanted to take us out to lunch so that was awesome ! We went to 5guys and set him with a date! Of september 9! So be praying for him y'all! And after that we decided to go to Lifeway Christian store- and met a a lady who was so interested in the gospel and had so many questions- seems like we were in the right place at the right time! And then we went to the church for youth and played some volleyball! Wednesday night ball is always a good time!

Highlight of the week! We were the only set of sisters that something didnt happen to car wise! So that was a blessing!!

Y'all the gospel is true! Keep being happy and make good choices!!

Week 51

Hey y'all!

Sumrall Mississippi is so cool! It's not very big but it's got a lot going on! We are teaching a guy named Terry who is planning on getting baptized at the end of the month as well as a lady named Rhonda! They are really cool! 

We do service at an old folks home and while we were there a lady came and talked to us and told us to come pick fruit in her backyard. So we went and oh my goodness! She had VINES of grapes and muscadines ! They are the best fruits I think I have ever eaten! And the lady was really nice and asked us about our missions! 

This week we went out in a trio with Sister John to help work her area since Sister Larsen has been pretty sick and we were out tracting and we got chased by a dog! So obviously we ran and we were on a porch and the dog came and cornered us( keep in mind this dog looked possessed!) and so being the prepared missionary that I am, I had some mace with me- And I sprayed the dog! And it ran away.. also there was a little girl in the doorway who was just as scared as us but had a door to hide behind, we tried to tell the little girl that it was dog repelant.. thats kind of hard to explain... anyway so we started walking down the road again and the dog came back!! So I help it up and the dog ran away... but we still ended up running back to our car to get away from the creepy thing! There was also the YSA conference this weekend- well it was held at our church and we had to run by there well we might have stopped by the kitchen and found a TON of leftovers... And had a REALLY delightful dinner (:

Yesterday we were out tracting and trying potentials and we were in the car because we got a phone call and then all of the sudden a lady we know came flying up and told us that we needed to leave because there was a HUGE seen right on the other side of where we were parked and told us that guns were pulled and that we needed to get out so we didn't get shot.. ha

This week was really busy and adventurous! Stay tuned to hear what goes down next week!!
